So you’ve had all of the excitement of becoming proposed, and you’ve most likely drank your bodyweight in champagne. Congratulations!

Maybe you’ve already bought your wedding planner, or maybe you’re taking a slightly more relaxed approach when it comes to getting everything into motion ready for your big day.

You might be having a traditional church wedding, a countryside outdoor affair or eloping just the two of you, but one thing is for sure - you want to make sure that when the big day comes, you are G L O W I N G.

We get it - you’re looking at a whole day where your professional photographer will be getting up close and personal with crystal clear shots of your face (among other things). We think you will agree when we say there will be no place to hide dry patches, dullness, spots or fine lines. No place AT ALL.

Here’s what we’d recommend pre-wedding.

Start early by putting a consistent skincare routine into place - we’d obviously recommend booking to speak with a professional about what products you should be using to treat your main concerns and reach your skincare goals. We’d suggest looking into this around 4-6 months prior to your wedding.

A series of bespoke facials are KEY if you want your skin in tip-top shape.

Look at fitting in one facial treatment every 4-6 weeks in the lead up. This will ensure that you are working in conjunction with the skins natural renewal process. Secondly, schedule in a luxury facial in the final week before your wedding day - look for a treatment that includes plenty of massage, masks, serums and moisturiser to get your skin plump, bouncy and radiant. Avoid too much steam/heat and DEFINITELY avoid extractions - this is NOT the time to pick!

As a final note, it is extremely important that you do not try any new skincare, makeup or tanning products on your face in the final week before your wedding. Skin really can be huffy when it wants to be, and generally speaking, doesn’t like too much change. If you want to avoid walking down the aisle with red and irritated skin, you’ll take this advice!
